What is ADR?
ADR is the international agreement regulating the transport of dangerous goods by road.
The regulation establishes the conditions under which these goods can be transported, as well as requirements related to vehicles, documentation, load identification, training, and the obligations of the various participants in the transport.
The agreement is updated periodically. The current version, ADR 2025, incorporates modifications applicable from January 1, 2025.
Which goods may be subject to ADR?
The regulation covers different classes of dangerous goods according to the nature of the risk.
Among many other products, certain gases, flammable liquids, toxic substances, corrosives, or other chemicals may be included.
This does not mean that all products of a certain family are necessarily ADR. The specific classification of each good determines the applicable requirements.
Why does it need specific management?
In conventional transport, it is already essential to protect the goods and meet deadlines. In ADR, an additional responsibility linked directly to safety is added.
The regulation establishes technical requirements and common procedures with the aim of increasing the safety of international transport of dangerous goods by road.
For this reason, it is important to work with companies that know this type of operation and can identify the specific transport needs before executing it.

Agencia Nord’s specialization in this field goes back a long way. In 1986 the company specialized in the distribution of ADR dangerous goods and became a pioneer of this type of transport in Catalonia.
